 A striking crime novel, the stakes couldn't be higher for WHITE DUNES as Leslie Bratspis entangles her reader in a complex plot of sex, drugs, and corruption. Bratspis manages to toss several balls in the air and keep them juggling as we work toward a conflicting resolution that feels earned, not given. Her strongest craft points come in how her dialogue exchanges work to develop her characters. She does a great job grounding her readers in the scene to help pull off the believability and deepen the engagement of the novel. Overall, she's written a solid novel that should thoroughly entertain fans of the crime genre. 

 Loved the characters and the plot. Engrossing. The author has woven a tapestry of the best in people and the worst in people and show us how strangers can help each other. And , oh, the sweetness of revenge when it is well deserved. The characters will stay with me even though I've finished the last page. 

 I loved this book. I normally only read for a couple of hours before I go to sleep, but not this time! I could not put it down and read it from cover to cover before I shut my Kindle down and light off. Love Leslie's style and cannot wait for her next book! 

 Leslie has a remarkable ability to develop each character in a manner that captures every thought and emotion of the reader. Having merged with the worlds of each individual, I found it very difficult to put this book down as the plot unfolded.Leslie's compassion pours through the book from the first page to the last. Looking forward to another masterpiece by the author! 

 I read this in a few days, just couldn't put it down. A triumph of hope over despair, and good over evil. Some great characters with the author involving the reader in their struggle and their success. I particularly loved the character of Serenity and her growth from a damaged child to a successful woman. It could have been a depressing novel but the author emphasises the hope in each character and as with her other novels shows that in every community there are people who care enough to make a change. My only disappointment with this novel, in fact, was that it came to an end. I was so wrapped up in each character that I didn't want it to end
