 Wow, a real page turner!

I've been a fan of Leslie Bratspis' writing for a time and loved both Good Fortune and Vanilla Grass - books with uplifting messages and optimism. The Anniversary Bracelet is a new departure for her into psychological thriller territory - it's always interesting to see how an author manages a change of genre - and with this Bratspis proves that she can write anything. The book is based in California where Bratspis grew up and follows the lives of Lance and April. From the first page, you know you're in for a rollercoaster read - there is everything in this story - sex, lies, secrets, dead bodies. Grab your favourite drink, put your feet up, and enter a different world!

 A THRILLER WITH A TWIST!

If you're looking for a heart wrenching psychological thriller with some wild sexual encounters that are relative to the plot this is the book for you. A true departure from Leslie Bratspis' previous novels this story captures the proclivities and avarice desires that drive the main characters with their evil intentions toward their ultimate demise.

A COMPELLING READ!

If you are searching for a compelling psychological thriller, look no further. The Anniversary Bracelet has it all: intriguing characters, a spell-binding plot, and a brisk tempo that will keep you eagerly turning pages from start to finish. I think this is Bratspis’s best, after White Dunes. Although the first chapters reveal a few salient clues, there is absolutely no way to anticipate the story’s outcome. There were many surprises for me, including the last plot twists. The characterizations of sex function/dysfunction are very nuanced: whatever happened to Eden? Gradually, the storybook couple is exposed as all too human, even fatally flawed, and susceptible to evil. We watch as the ideal marriage between April and Lance succumbs to horrible events. Surrounding April and Lance are sinister sociopaths competing in Tinsel Town’s cut-throat entertainment industry. The backdrop of Hollywood and other SoCal scenes was so entertaining...even the Beachwood Market! What does the anniversary bracelet, Lance’s token of undying love for April, have to do with all of this? It’s a question that gets answered during this gripping roller coaster ride. Buy the book and fasten your seat belt; this is an amusement park ride like no other!
